MBA shifter knob, with tail or w/o?

MBA shifter ****, with tail or w/o? Just as the title reads. I wanted some opinions on the difference between the MBA ***** with tail and without. I was thinking of a 2" black z28 MBA w/o the tail. I have a Pro50 that I cut some of the threads off of and I like it pretty good with my factory round leather ****. I have smaller hands so I was thinking of maybe the 2". What do you guys think?
