Default de greased my engine

got it nice and clean and no opti problems.

all i did was stuff rags where the coil wire goes into the opti and where the harness plugs in. put 2 plastic bags over that area and sprayed.

anyone else have survivor stories?

Yeah, I took my 94 to the car wash, sprayed it with foaming engine degreaser, and hit it with the pressure hose. No problems.

cleaned the motor with a pressure washer without covering the opti and was fine and went through several flooded streets with the filter exposed and opti in it, car still fine. most of the stories ive heard about optis going bad from water has been through either them getting hot then cracked when the water hits it or ingesting water through one of the vent lines.

I've saturated my engine in degreaser then hammered it with the pressure washer and dressed it. Never a single problem.
