Default Emissions question for ODBI

I have a 93 Z28, and plan on doing mods this summer.

I also live in Maryland, and have to pass the sniffer test

1: Is the EGR system required to pass emissions? I have never seen them look under the hood, so can I remove it and get away with it?

2: I would like to get LE2 heads and cam this summer.......with longtubes.
I have an inkling of a feeling this wont pass
What can i do to pass the sniffer? I dont mind pouring bottles of chemicals in before the test to pass, so what can I most likely get away with while still passing?

you can get the le2 heads with the le1 "emissions cam" and with the proper tune it should pass. ask him about that when you order.

that's mostly a myth that you can just pour something in and it will let you pass

well with the ls1 almost no one needs to pass the sniffer test, all you have to do is tune the computer to not show the emissions codes

yes, what I read was that the guy popped some code for abs while on the test, which meant he had to come back, and use the sniffer........and his care wasn't stock
