poly trans mounts
I put a prothane mount in there and i am wondering what everyone is torquing the tranny mount nut to? I read its supposed to be 77 and well i tried that and it broke the stud on the tranny mount right in half. I torqued mine to 25 afterwards because thats what my old third gen's auto tranny's mount wanted, and it looks pretty much identical to this mount. I figure thats not right either though...

i didnt know you had to be very specific with it, i just put it on there and tightened it down snug. however i am using a 6 dollar mount from autozone, so maybe the polys require a torque wrench

yea i read this article..

77 ft lbs snapped the little pos stud they give you. I started browsing the threads since nothing came up on a search and found one that mentioned double nutting it so the stud will screw all the way into the mount first, THEN you torque it. The studs they give you are garbage...mines already looking like its bending a bit...
