help with LS1 air intake on LT1 (Pics?)
Anyone have pics of there LS1 air intake on there LT1? I just received my complete stock intake in the mail. I have absoletely everything a stock LS1 comes with, even that radiator plastic plate like what we have to hold the radiator together.
The thing is I look at pictures of LS1's and it lays a lot flatter than on my
lt1. also mind you that I am doing a LS1 frontend conversion so everything is ripped off and there's plenty of space to work with lol.
I mean i have everything the rubber bellow of the conversion, everything! and it just doesn't lay flat enought to closed the hood all the way, btw the ls1 hood is on to. Maybe I need to keep fiddling with this idk.
But is there some fab work that I missed?

I have never done this, I don't even own an LT1 anymore. But I do have several pics of a few different cars with this mod. I have no idea whose car this is but I chose the pics that will probably help you the most. Good luck....

Here's a ton more from a couple of other cars. Copy them because I won't have them on my Photobucket account forever. Thanks,

you dont need to cut that cross brace thats for sure.
im on the process of doing it, but im getting a cowl hood so i will be able to just bolt up the LS1 radiator cover and the MTI lid.

holy crap that's a lot of pictures, can't thank ya enough, that must of took some time. Those pics help out because I still want to buy a lid for the car. I'm thinking maybe SLP, how original I know lol.
Well I didn't have the new hood on when I first put together my LS1 air intake, so for all the lt1 guys with the stock hood I do not see this happening for ya. Later on in the evening I got a little help and put on the LS1 hood, and everythign fits like a glove. I wanted to see if it worked with the stock lt1 hood, nope no dice.
Thanks again guys. Once again you guys pull through for me.
