passing the sniffer i am planning on doing a cam in about a month and a half. i was wondering what is the biggest cam i can have done and still pass smog. i will have LTs w/cats and i already have SLP lm2. it will be a DD. umm. i have 97K on it.

I got my car to pass w/CC306 stock tune and injectors.i had no egr or air pump long tubes new daul 3'' cats.The car passed below the average. btw I live in California

no real tricks just a motor that runs right.must people dont realize that lt1s generally have a problem w/ nox which is a result of high combustion temps.the big cam relieves the temps.there is alot of exhaust reversion which helps co. but the test may not take the first time because of this. the new bigger cats will also get rid of the extra h/cs the cam produces.i have a egt so i can tell when the cats light off which is around 600 degrees .this test was done through a th350 w/4500 stall feel free to come check it out.i still have print out.i would recommend a pretest. i am not the only one to do it.your smog guy will need to help on the visual and a little pateints.

Verdad Gallardo both cats were about 6'' to 8'' after collectors.i would not recommend one cat when smogging a cammed car.although my partner barley passed w/ a hot cam and one cat.
