Gear drive?
Gear drive? I had my knock sensor deleted, just came with part of a pcm tuning package that I bought. My buddy has a really sweet El Camino with a gear drive and I was just curious. With the knock sensor deleted do I still run into issues? I mean hell you have to delete it anyways when you run a real supercharger on the car, otherwise the sensor picks up on the s/c. So I was wondering if I could use a gear drive. Is it a must to run a timing chain? I'm not necessarily going to run out and buy one, but I am curious.
I am not 100 percent sure if they make one for a factory roller motor, but i am sure somone does, the only problem i have ever herd of is on HIGH rpm motors they cause "harmonics" but if it is a street driven motor under 7k rpm i see no issue, but i may be wrong.

yeah it's not a racer, well nothing serious, lets put it that way. I don't drag the car, right now it's just a toy for the weekends.

That wouldn't happen to be an LT1 or LS1 motor was it? I wondering where I would be able to find one for me car, maybe summit.

From what I've read, you can use the older double roller if you get a electric water pump. Machining the block and figuring out how to keep the middle gears from walking would be it.
