its a newer car, less miles. but you are going to have to start over modding it to get it the way you want it. and we all know that takes time. we all know ls1's are faster, but its that familiar sound we are all accustomed to that keeps us driving these cars.

okay I see now, your LT1 has 8K miles so it's still newish... motor...
his is a stock 02 40K wsg.....
It depends man... I dunno. I like the LS1 WS6's they look mean... but your just trading for the look and the engine really. So it's like LT1 vs. LS1.

With only 40k miles on the LS1, I would trade it. Not only is it a better platform to work with later on down the road, it's an overall new car and in better condition. Just buy a nitrous setup with the 2 grand 
I'd trade. I have put a lot of time and money in to a car like you and I know you're never going to get even half of what you put in it. If you ever get in a bind and something important comes up in your life and you're forced to sell a car, the 02 low miles ws6 is worth more.
whats the point your gonna end up spending alot to mod the TA when you get it because it has no where close to the amount of work your car has and i would save some money for when the new camaro comes out...think ahead!!!!!!
