Knock like a Mofo
Hey I have killer knock on my near stock 96z. Running premium 91 or 92. I have lt4 km and no rockers stock no cam,no headers,heads, just gears and stuff. The macs in my sig and cam and rockers are not installed yet. waiting for some heads to do it all at once. I just installed a new knock sensor recently and a new lt4 km in case had a dud. I finally got fed up and spent 500 bucks on the jet /tunercat software but that stuff is so darn complicated and support seems very weak for it. The board I found is crap. And jet don't offer any support. I will figure it out eventually I guess. Right now am afraid to even flash the car till figure out how to correct the speed for my 3.42 gears.
I know you can just wipe it in programming. at minimum wipe it at the track. I doubt mine is real ,pretty sure its phantom.
Think lifters maybe exhaust leaks or something banging. I have seen knock just revving it up at idle.
Very very annoying Car slows down like 4 tenths when it gets the knock.
