Default throttle body plates

going to make my own and wanted to know if the bottom of the plate can be flat or does it have to have all the passages of the stock one. thanks

The IAC/Coolant part? Or the Throttle Plates (the discs inside the throttle bore to regulate airflow)?

the actual plate on the top the stock one has all the stuff on the bottom and i wanted to know if i can just leave it flat when i make one

Ahh the name plate, gotcha. Wish I still had the one hanging on the wall. My TPI's was pretty much just flat aside from something sticking out, I think it was a centering pin of sorts. I would assume flat would be alright, unless the LT1 is different underneath.

I have a flat one, and my car runs fine with it. Just get a new gasket.
