LT4 Front Cover Plug, wtf?

LT4 Front Cover Plug, wtf? So I was browsing GM's online downloadable catalog and noticed this. Any idea why it's only for LT4, and how we switch to a rear mounted Distributor!? (Besides the obvious need of drilling a hole in the back of the intake, what else.)

as far as I can tell, it's just a minor misprint. That will plug any LT1 or LT4 timing cover for the vented optispark.
And GM sells an LT1 carburetor intake manifold for the LT1 which has the hole for the rear distributor.
I have one and use it for quick and easy dyno sessions.
Some have machined and welded up a nice boss and distributor hole on the stock LT1 (EFI) intake manifold but it's custom work.

Thats what I meant, using the LT1 intake, not the carb manifold. I saw that. Minus the front water jacket is cool looking with that big bowtie.

Talk to Scott, he has been super busy and moved but he is still doing the conversions. I was going to go with him before I decded to go to EDIS.

That still doesn't let me run it on an LT1 with a standard distributor and ECM 
Oh well, I'm sure, as it was said, it's just for the Carb intake. If not though, I still wonder wtf.
