Hooker Shorties I was wondering what you guys think about these i need to stay emissions legal. any other suggestions or opinions would help a lot too. THanks guys, dan

Re: Hooker Shorties for a shorty header, i think they are the best, only thing i found better was the ASM headers but i believe they are more of a midlength header. You can always get longtube headers for your car, weld some AIR tube fittings on one of the primaries, and put a 2 cats on the y-pipe or one after the y-pipe and it would pass emissions. I could be wrong but im fairly sure that one cat after the y-pipe would clean up the exhaust enough. only problem is that the cat may be too far back down the exhaust to heat up enough. back to the original question though, yes, the hooker shorties are great shorties. hope you dont plan on getting them for a 96-97 year model though, they have been advertising them for a few years and i dont believe they have come out with them yet.

Re: Hooker Shorties i got a hooker cat back and i was thinking about taking off the cat will this make it a lot louder when combined with headers and the new y pipe?
