Thinking of buying an lt1, question about cam I used to own a turbo dsm so I am very new to this, and have been hesitant to post because I know I will sound stupid but figured what the hell. I was trying to search about cams, and I mainly found that a decent cam seems to net about 340whp on an lt1, correct me if I'm wrong? What I am wondering is, if that is on the stock fuel setup and stock heads? If I was to get a decent cam, would I need to upgrade the injectors and/or fuel pump? Sorry for such a newbie question, I'm just trying to research my options before I even think of buying another turbo dsm again, and I figured an fbody was the best way to go, and I've always heard getting a cam was one of the best bang for the buck mods.
340whp would be with stock heads, and you're right that's probably around where most decent cams will get you. 350+ can be had with good tune and parts selection. And the stock fuel system would probably be fine with that power level assuming everything is in good condition (assuming it's not a 93, you would probably need to upgrade at least injectors on those).

Thanks a lot! I was using the search before I posted but I just couldn't figure out the right words to search for I guess, the posts that came up didn't say anything about what fuel mods would be needed if any, all I could find was about the power it would net you.
