First off, this LT1 is in an '86 Volvo 740 Wagon, see the link for details.
I added an MSD Optispark (8381, '94 LT1) and need to find a good place to pull clean air for the vent. The instructions say:

yep, drill into the elbow. or get a larger diameter air filter and put it in the base of the filter.
looks like a sweet setup.

I miss my buddy's turbo volvo. I can only imagine how fun SBC one is
I know it sucks, but +1 for drilling a new holes in the elbow. Just get a longer vacuum line then.
