turn key = NO POWER
turn key = NO POWER hey, i have a 97 lt1 and latley my car has had this problem when you turn the key on for all the eclectronics and fuel pump to come on and then turn the key to start the car, it just completely loses all elecronic power. but if you wait a min and let it cool the car starts up perfectly. anyone know what could cause me to loose all igintion when i turn the key on to start the car?
yea i replaced my ignition switch 2 days ago but i had already previously replaced it about 1 month ago and so i figured maybe i just got a bad one, but it still does it just not as often. Do you think that the ignition swith adjustment might have something to do with it?

If it looses electrical power its more than likley has to do with the battery system, be it a connection or cable. Vats, wont cause loss of electrical power, ignition switch shouldn't either. I have heard some weird things when ignition switches like gauges acting funny, but wont cause the car to loose all electrical power
i went and checked all electrical connections and the only one looe was the one in the engine bay on the left side in that little red box. i pulled my starter down so i can replace it so hopefully one of these might fix it
