Default Delteq guys inside

I am currently running the delteq kit on my car with MSD coils and right now swapping in a 355 with a CC306 and AFR 195's.. Well while the motor is out I am going to put in some new plug wires and pick up some performance while cleaning up the engine bay...

Who out there has ordered custom plug wires for their delteq setup? What lengths did you go with? What brand? and where did you get them from?

Thanks in advance

Also if there is a post like this somewhere else sorry for posting again but I never saw it when i did a few searches... May have missed it

here is a pick up my setup as well

Although I don't have a Delteq, I am getting my parts together for a LTCC setup and I will be using Taylor cut to fit wires. On my setup you have to ask for Opti hookups to fit on the coilpacks, but the Delteq would just be standard plug wires. From what I have read, you don't want a real low resistant wire with both setups..

I have had the Delteq and not using it currently, but liked it so much that I just put it away instead of selling it! Regardless, I think I checked into buying some wires and seems like I remember not coming up with much. If I remember right, there are some kinds you aren't supposed to use with it and I think it's on their website.

I got a DELTEQ and i love it but the stock wire that comes with the kit sucks big time.I ve install some ACCEL 8.8mm cut to length kit)part no:8021 and i made a custom OTVC kit with it.

Way much better than the stock plug wire route that goes around the engine and under the exhaust manifold.

I searched the instruction manual and couldn't find the info I was looking for. JC and Pete may have told me that themselves--about the type of wire to use. Seems like they said to only use solid core wires, not wound (or something like that). I sprayed a 175 shot on full timing with my Delteq with their wires with no adverse effects.

wouldnt a solid core wire cause too much interference with the electronics? im also making my own wires when the engine goes back in. bought a roll of msd super conductor wire and ends. gonna run them over the covers

I don't think there are any MFG's who actually make pre-done kit because there are so many options for mounting. I actually use the 9mm custom cut Elite plug wires. I have been extremely happy with the quality of the setup and throttle response of this system. GM should have done this to all the LT1 cars Couple pics of my setup with the MSD DIS 4 system mounted in the front drivers area behind the headlight.

From the FAQ section on Accel's site:

Q) A friend tells me stainless steel/copper core ignition wires are the best. Is this true?

A) While they have almost zero resistance and are excellent conductors of high current, they have no RFI suppression ability. This makes them impractical for use with nearly all electronic ignition systems, including HEI. Radio frequency interference (RFI) is induced into the atmosphere by high voltage passing through the solid core wires. This in turn has a "scrambling" effect on electronic modules, control boxes, rev limiters, radios, data acquisition systems, cell phones, computers, and garage door openers. Spiral core wires have the conductor wrapped around a fiberglass core, which has a canceling effect on RFI. Stainless steel solid core wire is only usable on point- type race engines, or some top fuel applications. For the lowest resistance wire with the highest current capacity, ACCEL 300+ race wire is the only serious choice.
I've used three sets of the Accel 300+ 8.8 Race Wires, and have had good results with all of them. Pretty easy to work with assembly-wise. With a Delteq system, you can get away with using a universal set.

This is a SMOKING deal:

Hey while we're on the subject, anyone do any timing retards with their Delteq? That's the main reason I ain't using it right now is no timing retard. I've used DIS-4 and didn't really like it.
