Default Another header question.

Well looking to buy a basic set of headers, I'm not looking for horsepower gains or something that will out last my car. Basically I plan to get a magnaflow catback, and thought why not get headers to make it sound better as well.

I currently have a direct fit magnaflow (car sound quality) catalytic converter that came with its own Y-pipe. Now I want to know if I can buy a set of headers and bolt them right up to my Y or if I need to buy the companys Y to pair with the headers.

Money is an issue, therefore I'm looking at pacesetters mid-length or long tube, makes no difference to me. Also what is the deal with flowtech headers? They cost around $100 at Checker, are these just worthless or would it be a great fit for my needs? Could I bolt the flowtechs right up to my magnaflow Y ?

Please let me know what you guys think and if its possible to avoid getting a new Y-pipe.

You buy headers for serious power gains....if you don't care about that you prolly won't care to go through the trouble of installing them

Well that really doesn't answer my question at all. Its not that I don't care about added horsepower, its just not my drive in installing a new exhaust system. Plus it would be nice to avoid all the replys of: Only get long tubes eveything else is ****, and get stainless steel or nothing at all.

So please if you have some information that I could use let me know.
