Default ABS Inop Problem

I have an annoying weird problem...

Every time I accelerate hard my abs inop light comes on, but once I restart the car it is gone. Just wondering if anyone has any direction in which to point me, thanks.

I've seen this happen with big squishy tires, because they grow at different rates and become slightly different sized. I suppose it could hapen if your tires were inflated to different pressures? not real sure but something to check.

It turns off because restarting the car just resets the ABS.

My 96's light would always come on when I turned the 4-ways on! Then when I restarted the car it would be off, I never did figure out why it did that.

Why would the tires affect the ABS sensors? Not to sure on how that would affect anything with that.

Because one tire is spinning at a different rate than the other, and it makes the ABS want to trigger. Thats the way I understood it anyway. Happens ALL the time on my friends '98. every time we put the MT Drags on it, even retuned for tire size etc. When we put a set of big ET streets on mine it did the same thing.

o ok i guess i can see that. I wasnt even thinking of the rear tires. I was only thinking the fronts. And just a question (sorry off topic) but did the 93 T/A A4 come with Trac Control or the performance 2nd gear start (not sure what it is called)? People have been telling me that they all did and mine doesnt have that switch on the center consol but my gauge cluster does a a place where is says trac off.

Mine wasnt factory equiped with Trac control either. I think it was probablly just a factory option.

my 95 does the same thing, no idea what is causing it. Some say it because of the gears in the rear end, not sure how that would affect it, and some say it's because I need to blead my brake lines...another words they were telling me my brake fluid was bad! Never really heard of that one either! But any whoot I just live with it!
