Default Help O2 sensor millivolts

On the scanner the mv of the left O2 sensor is all over the place. Ranging from 30's to 900's but the right one is staying in the 470's and barely moves. This does happen to be an old sensor though. I'll change it tonight to see. Is this because the sensor is old and can't read fast enough?

It's quite possible the sensor is dead. Make sure that there's no wiring shorts and the wires aren't touching the exhaust either though.

FYI

Pre-cat O2 sensors should vary - post cat O2 sensors should in fact be steady around 400 mv or so...

I'll change the sensor tonight. This car doesn't have after cat O2's so it's not that. Thanks for the replies.
