header question i have a 97 z28 are there any lt headers that u can bolt up to stock exhaust. if not what is good header cat back combo no loud mouth.are there any problems with headers hitting where i would have to install poly engine or trans mounts.
There are headers that will bolt up to the stock exhaust. I think California speed headers. but they are pricey and make valvecover removal impossibal ( I had them). I'd have pacesetter long tubes now. Get those and a catted y-pipe and you're set. I deleted the cats and used a borla cat back. I love my combo.
Sometimes LT headers will bang. It all depends on the condition of the car and quality of the headers. Mine banged as well as my friend's. Mine stopped when I put in either the torque arm or subframe connectors.. can't remember.
