shift light install question
shift light install question Hey guys
I'm installing a shiftlight into my car, standard power/ground/tach style
I'm having trouble finding a good power wire under my dash, does anyone have a good description of where one is, needs to be a 12 volt that comes on with the ignition.
I've also heard that theres a tach wire coming off the coil, which wire is it? My plug into it has two wires, one appears to be orange, the other a pinkish color.

It's recommended to tap into the A13 pin on the red PCM connector. A much cleaner line for a tach/shift lite/etc. 12V power, you can pull off anything. Heck you can prolly pull it off the cig lighter. I mean the lights not going to come on till it sees the desired RPM so it won't be draining any power while the car is off.
My .02, I ran mine to my 6al then for the power I took my fuse panel door off and tested links with a test light till I found one that only powered on when the key was on. Wrap your power wire around that fuse and stick it back in its hole.
