AFAIK lt1edit does not come with a scanner, unless they've added that recently.
For the autotap scanner, go to this page: http://www.autotap.com/product_family.asp?FamilyId=260
and you need either the ATS or ATU ($199, ATU = usb, ATS = serial) and the option to add GM enhanced parameters ($99).

LT1Edit for OBDII has not been supported for years, which is probably why they never bothered to write one.
I use AutoTap for Windows, with a USB port to my PC.
I wonder how much data you could see on a Palm?
It is nice that they include the enhanced parameters, but it does appear that you also need another cable as well, and possibly a null modem.
Personally, if I had it to do over, I would get the Jet software over the LT1Edit. It is still supported, and the interface I saw had more options than LT1Edit.
