Default Camming the motor, any tips?

Well i rebuilt the motor a few months back and it is now running fine, i just need to tighten down the rockers cause they're starting to tick and it bothers be a lot.Im going off to college in about 5 weeks and the week before i leave i plan on putting in the cam that the motor shop DIDNT put in.

So i have a pretty good idea as to was i need to do...but is there anything i need to know about that most people dont know? I know about the dowel pin needing to be shortened if neccesary.

Tips are much appreciated!
