My question is this can the ABS affect the transmission? My ABS INOP light is on and it was because i had the aftermarket SS spoiler so i put the stock Z28 spoiler back on and changed the bulbs and its all working and i disconnected the battery to clear the codes and the ABS INOP light is still on. Will it affect the transmission in any way with the ABS being INOP? please help just had tranny rebuilt and i dont want to mess the new one up.

 

ABS i dont see any way coming on because you put a different spoiler on the car. Besides that fact ABS will not do anything to the Transmission.

 

yeah i wasnt sure and i didnt want to burn the new tranny up. Im not that great with all this electronic crap.

 

That's what I thought, but after reading another thread about the ABS and stuff, it said if the third break light is out that the ABS won't work or the cruise control.

In this case, it might be just that, or a total coincidence.

 

that might be true. I forgot the 3rd brake light might be spoiler mounted not inside the car in the rear glass.
