Header Install....Oil Pressure Sensor Problem
Header Install....Oil Pressure Sensor Problem Got done installing my Pacesetter LTs and took it for a test spin. It was leaking and burning oil. I jacked it up, and it's coming from the oil pressure sensor.
This is a 94, so the sensor is the dong-looking thing right above the filter. I just can't seem to get it all the way on. It seems like the primary is in the way of letting me line it up straight.
Who has had this problem, and how was it solved? Is my sensor broken? Do I need to clearance the rubber some?

I have heard of people having issues with Pacesetters from the standpoint of the header primaries not being bent or angled correctly and causing clearance issues. If worse comes to worst, you could possibly look into relocating your oil pressure sensor to the location that it is found on late 94-and-up LT1's:

That's about the last thing I wanted to hear. I have the car here at work (Sears Auto Center), and I have a ride lined up for tomorrow. I need to figure something out by tomorrow night for this.

It sounds like you hit it when you wher installing the headers. I did the same thing and had to unbolt that header and install the new sensor. It unthreads from the block just like any other sensor. Be aware that the threads are expanding on the sensor, so it gets tight before it looks like the sensor is screwed in all the way. Hopefully you get it fixed.
Yep...I got her. I wish I had seen your post before lol. The way the sensor had broken off, it looked like the rubber boot was the part that pops on...I never saw the electrical connector inside.
Only when I cut the wire and pulled it out did I realize I had even broken it. I'm a dumbass, but I'll admit it hahaha.
On another note...holy loud open headers.
