need help with new 383 Hey guys I need some help I just had my lt1 built with a scat stroker kit with 6.0 inch rods srp pistons 11.5 cr ported lt1 heads cc306 cam tuned by pcmforless, stock manifolds ,stock injectors ,stock tb the stock items are on the way to being changed (out of cash ). The problem is the car does not have as much power as it should It doesn't miss just feels slow I put 4:10 gears in it. Ive been thinking and the only thing I missed was a lt4 knock Module if there is and thing else you can come up with let me know. And what kind of rwhp is this setup going to put out? Also I was thinking of useing tunercats program to tune from now own cause I will be putting 150 wet shot on this car.
At the very least,go with headers of your choice.I have somewhat of a similiar setup,with stock TB, injectors,slp shorties and made 365rwhp.Also get it Dyno Tuned,i picked up over 40rwhp from a mail order tune.Right now i have a set of KOOKS,42lb inj,52mmTB that i need to install,so we will see what those mods bring me?
With 11.5:1 and stock manifolds I think you are getting a lot of detonation. The restriction they cause builds a lot of heat in the motor and with that compression will be a problem.
