lol im lookin into one of the manual rack and pinion deals that come with the weight saving kits on here:

http://www.bmrfabrication.com/Press%...ssReleases.htm

I think madman has one as well but that one comes with the whole front end of lightweigh parts it looks like pretty much (still need that stuff). I dont know how much easier that these things would make it to steer ...

Good question, I'd consider the same idea down the road since I'm running skinnies but damn with the full spool on the 9" it's gonna be that much more grunting. Speaking of BMR I want their AC firewall blockoff plate, freaking cool as **** they made one.

yea thats on my to do list as well (firewall blockoff plate) since i cut out most of the ac crap from under the hood but i still have those small metal pipes coming out of the firewall. i guess i should take off the dash and start cuttin crap out of there too.. im thinkin about takin a sawzall to all that **** and calling it the day.. still need to get theairbag out. im thinking about getting a 9 inch as well since i wanna spray off the line and all.. how is this whole full spool thing going for you? and what is that exactly from what the "normal" whatever is?? i definitely want my car to gtfo on the 60 foot so..

Think I'm going to just pull the dash, I want to have a clean setup and I'm running a 10pt cage with a bar behind the dash and down pipes through a notched winshield cover thingy wtf ever it's called (with velcro snaps that's cracked on most lt1s ) The 9" is pretty fargin heavy compared to a stock 10bolt if that was your question, but unbreakable for me until I start getting into the low 9's, then I'll upgrade the axle shafts and spool again. I'm also pulling the airbag **** and radio in place of a nitrous panel setup. For a radio...well....shrugs.....I'm get an Ipod Nano....super lightweight

i kinda expected it to be heavy but im thinkin about getting one. what kind of axle shaft and spool are you looking at getting? i second the taking out of airbag **** radio and ac bullshit so i can make my interior look like an airplane with gauges and nitrous stuff like you said.. **** on a radio everyone can listen to my exhaust!! then i can take out the speakers and lose some more weight there. i have a brand new radio ill probably never use from the last camaro. so sad.. oh well MORE POWER!!!
