Help me make shopping list... Hey guy's,I'm thinking about rebuilding the motor on the LT1 for boost. It's a 95 z 6 speed.It has a 137k Miles with 0 problems.
The plan is to be around the 400-500 horsepower area with a rear mount turbo. Just need some ideas for the engine itself,to hold that much power reliably. We're not talking about rearend/clutch/tranny/fuel. I do not want to go the heads/cam route.
Can i use the stock heads and cam to achieve these numbers? Just the motor. Anyone have a link or thread that shows what all internals i should replace while I'm in there.
Budget is around 2k for internals (labor not included in my budget,just parts)...is that logical,less is better,more if i have to. Also anyone know of a reputable site that sells LT1 internals. Thanks for all suggestions

??? - ported heads needed for boost?
??? - pistons
??? - rods
??? - FI cam needed?
60 - rod bolts
355 - LT4 timing chain *byunspeed
150 - pushrods *ws6store
250 - roller rockers *ws6store
200 - v springs/retain *byunspeed
I'll be running a 60-1 turbo.
