Default LS1 SS spoiler

from what ive read the spoiler wont work right with our cars due to the ABS screwing up from the LED light's resistance. would i be able to put on a regular 3rd brake light like the stocker?

I have a real 02 SS spoiler on my 94 and you're right it was a headache to figure out the LED brakelight but somebody on this forum sent me a schematic and it was a breeze. I will try to look for it and get back with ya. At the same time I installed 98 and up taillights with the amber turn signal, same thing it was a headache

On one car I used a relay and it works great. It was a real 2000 ss Spolier we got from PSJ.

The Blue car has a real 98 spoiler(different from all other years BTW) on it. It bolted on and worked from day one BUT if you push the Four ways it codes out the ABS and makes it inop

those two verticle bars in the middle and the light. The lt1 version doesn't have those. I've never done a side by side but, I think the total overall shape and curvature its identicle, just doesn't have the two bars. I didn't realize how different the light in the middle was till I just looked at these.. here's a pic of mine and a pic of an ls1 style.... I like the spoiler without the bars but, I kinda like that LED middle light more than mine.. hmm....

It was just two wires coming out of the spoiler i think it was black and white... hot and ground.... (the spoiler is not oem though) it is a knockoff but you can;t tell the difference I just spliced the two stock wire coming off my car to the two coming off the spoiler. and it works fine...

I actually put the ls1 style on my 97 SS, the difference is ridiculous. The two spoilers are not even close in height. The ls1 style has a HUGE lip on it. The lt1 style is just a z28 spoiler with a fiberglass lip slapped on it. Over all, the ls1 style , oem or not, is a waaaaaay better looking spoiler for any camaro.

Ditto! JMHO, The only problem is I'm a weirdo purist that won't put an SS spoiler on a Z28
