Default Edelbrock has LT1 long tubes

but i cant find any place that sells them. i tried putting the part number (65901) in on summit, jegs, pace, and sdpc. they didnt come up with anything. well it didnt come up with headers. i emailed edelbrock about it and im waiting for a reply.
these headers would be great for the bigger than stock cubes.
1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8. 3 1/2" collector.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, easy on the "Going Backwards" G, you almost hurt my last feeling Good looking heaerd though. Why not try the KOOKS. I love mine. If I had to guess I'd say those Edelbrock headers aren't any cheaper.

I've seen the LS1 headers from edelbrock, and they look WELL worth the $410 bucks they are asking for them.

I might try out a set on my LT1 when money allows...

the LS1 headers are the best bang for the buck. the LT1s look to be another great product.

indeed. a couple of my friends have them on their ls1 cars (1, a cam-only '02 z-28, and the other a 408/l92 '00 SS)

the only complaint they have/had is the slip on collectors tend to leak in the middle, where all the tubes come together. they have tig welded the collectors to the primaries where possible, but still have a small leak.

think about it: stepped tube primaries, an awesome merge collector that ends in 3.5" instead of the usual 3". and the coating they use on the headers really seems to hold up over time too!

Hmm, it says they're made of stainless steel. I wonder what grade? And I wonder if you can get them uncoated?

Hopefully the price of the LS1 headers will be an indicator of the LT1 version.

if they are stainless, I doubt they'll be $410 bucks. which brings me to my next point:

of the few out there, how many aftermarket companies that make parts for both LT and LS motors, share the price?

with the luck of the black-sheep LT1, they will probably be higher in price, or not flow for crap.

I wanna see some pics just to see if they even spent some time designing these like they did for the LS1 cars, or if they just cobbled something together to get in the Long-tube header market.

arent the pacesetter and hookers priced fairly close(between LT and LS motors)?
1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 not going to flow? lol, you must not know much about edelbrock.

Interesting. I'm going to need a new set of headers (ASM's aren't gong to clear my new Milodon pan) and Kooks were at the top of my list save for price. I think these just made the list tentatively pending being released.
