Default lt1 modifications???

I'm looking to buy some parts for my t/a and dont know which order to go in and not really sure on which parts to buy. i need new plugs and wires for my car. it seems like everyone goes with ngk plugs and msd wires? i already have headers and y pipe installed and i was told my car should be tuned. i was also looking into getting a head and cam package and the cc306 was recommended. But i dont know about the head. would it be better to just port and polish? they said i should get a cold air first before i get the cam. mike from gforce also told me i needed to rebuild my motor before i get a cam because my car has 120k miles?? i am eventually going to supercharge the t/a so would it be smart to get forged internals now? Please help me decide on what parts to get and what order to go in! Thanks

If it is not your daily driver and you have the money I would do a rebuild. start from the ground up and then go with your bolt ons, then your h/c package (might be done same time as internals I would imagine), then the supercharger. Make sure you know what you want the final product to be before you start. If you want a supercharger make sure the internals provide a lower compression and you get a good blower cam.

Honestly, You need to determine your Budget, not future money but how much you have to spend.

A good blower set up with injectors and fuel pump and tune will be in excess of $6,000.

A good Forged rotoing assembly is around 2,000 and im not talking some crappy Eagle rotating kit.

Machining and clearancing should be around 500, for a blown setup, get splayed 4 bolt main caps.

Valve train price can be cheap, or expensive (See: Morel Lifters)

The cheapest set of ported heads are going to be at least 1K, not the best but not basic port work.

This not including supporting bolt on mods and a dynotune.

Take a look at my link, just see what your going to need to optimize the setup. *not to say mine was optimized but just look at the stuff and price it*

As for the motor, I wouldnt do anything at 120k, Id drive till it knocks, then rebuild but then do you want to dump 10+ grand into a 120k+ car?? Also what health is the drive line in.

Its a major decision, do it basic and cheap or go all out. No point of putting a blower spec cam in a car that has no blower, or a cc306 cam to mate to a blower.
