Default freakin energy suspension

When installing the energy suspension transmission mount, did any of you guys use the upper preload plate provided with the mount? I did and I think it is the culprit to why I have a crap load of vibration from it. I have been pulling my hair out trying to fix this and I seen a pic on the internet of someone using the same mount but it didnt look like it had the upper pre-load plate attached. Any help would be much appreciated.

By the way, i put it in just the way it tells you to do so.

The extra plate supplied is not needed. If you are able to do a search (usually its broken), you'll find quite a few threads talking about it. Basically the plate changes the tailshaft angle just enough to where it causes the vibration.

Just take it out and you should be good. Keep in mind also, if you've still got the factory driveshaft, they are known to have a little bit of wobble as well. There was a TSB about them in the Mid-90s where the factory steel shafts would vibrate, and if a customer brought it to their attention they'd replace it under warranty for an alumnium one.

I'm running it with the plate and I don't even notice the vibration.

Whenever you use an aftermarket trans mount there will be more vibration. You just need to decide whats more important.... hair or trans mount
