Spinning doesn't cause your MPH to increase, that's a pretty bad but common misconception. Turning the tires over a little out of the hole is OK because it keeps you from bogging and keeps the engine in the meat of the power band, but if the spinning is so excessive that it's hurting your ET, it's also going to hurt your MPH.

 

this is a k and n fender mount vrs the lid im assuming, not the factory ramair setup vs the lid?

 

i read on here somewhere that if you spin your mph goes up. i assumed it was true

 

That's correct, the K&N that goes down behind the driver's headlight vs a conversion to a LS1 airlid setup.

 

yea, i have a 96ws6 ramair so this wouldnt really matter to me, but i was wondering if the ls1 box is better then my lt1 setup, it looks like there is more to the ls1, not just a box like mine, is that just some sort of silencer setup?

 

Ah well I can't picture good times with the shitty prep (or should I say, "No prep at all") we get at the track. The one in Clanton is much better these days.
