Radiator ?
First let me explain that my car is NOT running hot nor is it leaking any radiator fluid. It's operating at 180-185degrees as it should, but I found this to be a little strange.
Low radiator fluid light in the cluster came on, so I check the fluid in the resevoir and it's full. Well I've just driven the car for 2 hours so I really don't want to open the radiator cap because it's pressurized from the driving, right? Actually, NO it wasn't. I turned the radiator cap 1/2 turn expecting the pressure to bleed off into the resevoir, but there was no pressure. I was able to take the cap off immediately after driving the car for last 2 hours straight. Why is there no pressure? The cap is rated for 18 lbs. The radiator was full also. So I think I need a new radiator fluid sensor and a radiator cap, but the fact that I had no pressure seems like it would have caused an overheating issue. Hmmmm.
