It's on now.. I had a cooling problem at the Track last weekend..it over-heated after a pass. I installed both Fans in the Factory positions, set them up to where both come on with a Manual Fan Switch. Both Fans are powered by a circuit I setup using the Factory Relays, so it's not straining the car any. I took it out earlier tonight and ran the dog shit out of it..I ran it up to 120mph(got there pretty quick..) and came down to a stop, turned around and did the same a few times in a row on a back road, it didn't get above 220 the whole time. I have the Temp Sensor positioned in-line on the Heater Core Line coming out of the Water Pump..basically the hot side of the Engine. It's money now.. |
awesome man good to hear, my car still runs at 235 idleing before the fan comes on.. normal driving itl see 210-220 |
Nice. Maybe those there GM engineering folk knew where to put them thar fans.:jest: Yeah about the temps when the fans come on stock...... I have a manual fan switch, and my A/C wasn't working, it was way low, but the guy tried to tell me that running the fans before they are supposed to come on sets a code. I never heard of it, as I had run it that way for 2 years before any issues. Hopefully that the last bug in your system there, when will it be all out time? |
I dont know how many miles you have on it but I will bet my bottom dollar, you need a radiator. I had delt with that issue and replaces every part except the 102k original radiator. Once I did, I never had a issue of overheating, it radiator had pin hole leaks that I only found out after having the radiator hot tanked at a shop. |

I am looking into it..if I do change Radiators, I am getting an LS1 one..that way everything matches. Might possibly have 1/4 mile results Thursday.. |
Hell yea! |
