Exclamation Has anyone seen this before?

So I was cruising down the road a week ago, and i find that my volts are in the yellow zone, probably around 9...I'm like WTF so I pulled over the car, check the usual and I find this gem:

I owned a 1997 Bird and I distinctly remember NOT having this ghetto connector...my question is, is this stock? what the HELL is up with this?!

Problem obviously found, the alt wire fell off of this ghetto cluster, fixed this and put white lithium grease all over it to grant a nice connection how the hell do I get away from this? Not only does this look like crap I can obviously see the wires coming off again...

Gah!

Either pick up another end that you can shove the wires into properly, or buy the whole positive wire setup from someone thats parting out an Fbody. Whatever you do, put a cover on that to avoid shorting something out.

That is not the factory connection. It is a ghetto factory style connection. Factory does not have the clamp with the 2 bolt setup to hold the wires in.

Yeah I see it now, it's too wide at the bottom. I wasn't going to look under the hood to check.
