Why not? If you choose the correct backspacing I don't see why it wouldn't look good. Factory wheels are 16X8 and 17X9.5 is popular upfront too. A buddy of mine used to have Prostars and I think his were 15X8 all the way around.

The older Muscle Cars look good 15x8's all way around...It's just my opinion that if I were to buy after market wheels for my 93+ they wouldn't be 15x8 front & rear...I think our cars look better with 17+ size wheels on them..even though mine are 16's and were on the car when I bought them, and I think they have too much sidewall(matters on what tires) so it's not about the backspacing....If u bought the car with the factory 16X8 wheels on it then there's nothing u can do about it but buy new ones, I can't see going with 15x8's though.

Jon-
i cant either unless i'm going to the track every week. i dont mind the 15" look but being a big wheel guy i prefer more chrome than sidewall. at the track is a whole nother story. i think im going to end up getting a set of 18" z06s, 9.5s and 10.5s. so i can run 305s.

Who gives a **** about that much tire width?

If you get a set of Mickey ET Streets, or Nitto Drag Radials, in a 275 width, youre going to get a much traction as a 305 tire.

A great 60' foot is about traction, and traction is about tire design, rubber compound, sidewall flex, etc...

Now, don't get me wrong. Getting some 305's/315's for the back would work great too and look badass as well if you want both looks and traction.
And that it 100% up to you.

Personally, I like Ben Moore's setup.

i agree with you. however, i saw a big difference in the 255 et street radials vs the bullshits i had before 'off the line'. but, no difference at cruising speeds. the 255 mt's are about 1" wider than the 265 bullshits i had before. i just cant see spinning some 305 drag radials at 75mph. and the fact of the matter is, the only thing they make for 16x8s is the 255. and if im going to buy wheels they are going to be wide enough to accommodate a 305. and if i have a wheel that wide, i damn sure aint puttin no 275 on there. if i had some 17x9s layin around it would be a whole nother story. i would probably just roll with the 275.
