Question $1500 later still no difference! NEED HELP!!!

Hello i posted a few weeks ago. My 1993 trans am runs like crap. At 4000-4200 rpm it studders off the rev limiter (which is suppost to be at 5500). I was told to change the opti by a ton of people. I bought the msd billet dist, coil, and wires (8.5mm). It used to have a "mild" miss before i changed the dist. and now the miss is gone, but the bouncing off the rev limiter is still there. Need help i am at a stand still.

Can the rev limiter reset itself? Bad chip maybe?

I was out driving today with my buddy and i showed him what it was doing. He told me to put it in 1st gear and ease into it. Sure enough, it crept to 5500. But when u stomp it, it just falls on its face studdering at 4000-4200 rpm. Fuel or maybe air?? anyone have this problem?

Did it happen all the sudden? Do you have a tune? Did it happen when the new tune was installed?

It was dyno tuned, ran fine. All of a sudden it felt like it lost half power while i was on it a little bit. Ever since then it ran like crap. OH i forgot to say that about a week or 2 before it going out. whenever u start it up for the first time (warm or not) you get on the gas about 1/4 of the way, it falls on its face. u let out get back in it and it was fine.

the fact that it turns 5500 w/ no load and runs nice, but runs like crap at 4200 under load wouldn't normally be valvesprings, but it would be something to check anyway.
