What is this??

Sorry for the small pic, is this part of the tranny cooling system? I already have a tranny cooler in the tranny. Do I need this? I dont have a tranny temp gauge..

That looks to be a additional trans cooler, do you have the hard lines going to the radiator still on the passanger side??

Yes, I was going to remove this piece because Im going on a weight reduction rampage but Im going to reconnect it and pour some more tranny fluid down the lines that I lost. I thought it was another A/C piece..
