Unhappy Camaro's down..

Well if it's not one thing..it's another..

Me and my Tuner were playing with the Car, we were taking it out and doing the WOT Tuning, and I had to adjust the Throttle Body for the Idle..and I noticed Coolant all over the passenger side Head.
The Radiator had cracked and shot Coolant all over the Head. I was able to drive it home and get my other Car, but it's down for now..

Right after I read this, a crack of lightning ripped through the sky and all the LT1's in NY revved at the same time in disbelief and horror.

Good luck, and Godspeed.

Luckily it was running hot enough that the coolant didnt crack anything when it hit the hotter metal.

Radiator is just a minor setback, I was worried it would be way worst!

Thanks guys..it won't take long to fix..I literally live right behind a Radiator Shop. I have to take it out and bring it over there.

I just got done ripping a set of MT's off the Car...I need something better..

perfect opportunity to upgrade. my water pump crapped out on me a couple days ago in the 95 degree heat, no sense in having stock parts on a strong engine anyway.

Good to hear that it wont take you long to get it back on the road. Still thinking about the swap myself. One day when i have the time and a shop to do it in.

Water Pump is fine..it's a LS6 Water Pump. I just killed the Radiator with it..

Yea, hopefully the Car won't be down for long.

Yea..believe it or not, the LT1 Radiator is actually bigger and better than the LS1 Radiator..

It was fine, just old.

you would be very happy with a big oversized aluminum radiator. have you decided on one?

See now if it was an Lt1 you would have blown both heads off the car, destroyed the opti and spun a rod bearing at the mere thought of there being a radiator problem.

I am jealous of your car (but think it needs a t56.. ). If you ever decide you want to do it again, i volunteer my car...

Yea sure..then it would of said I need a re-build..

It's not as bad as some of you think..I can still drive it around no problems..when you hammer it, that is when it comes spraying out of the crack. Funny thing is when it's running, it doesn't even leak..
I am goin to get a better look at it tomorrow..cause the way it is doesn't make sense to me..

if an LT1 had the coolant all over it

it would yell "THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!"

the coolant would simulate blood on its face
