LT1 heads question My camaro lt1 made 365rwhp on full bolt ons and a cc306 cam, i'm taking the heads off to have them ported also the tb , my question is what kind of hp gains can i expect from these job.
Depending on who does them, how they do them and what you tell them you want from them, total with a valve upgrade full port and polish i have seen 40hp or more depending on the heads.
Don't forget to have the intake manifold ported for the throttle body and the runners port matched to the heads. If all that is done along with a good port job on the heads, larger valves you should around 35-40rwhp.
These numbers are for an m6 which I'm guessing you are, if you are an a4 then around 10 or so less.
I had my stockers ported, larger valves, runners slightly ported and gained around 30rwhp over some slightly ported heads. Then did a 58mm, ported intake manifold, more porting on the runners, 30lb injectors, retune and gained almost 15rwhp...and I'm using the same cam.
