Crank key It appears that the crank key holding the crank gear and pickup for the crank sensor the end has been worn down. How does one go about removing that?

i'm not sure exactly what you mean by worn down. but factory lt1 crank keys are for lack of a better word "abbreviated" due to the crank hub not being keyed. as for removal if you have everything else off of it just hang something under the back edge or whever is handy and pry a bit and give it a couple of sharp raps with a hammer and punch and it should pop right out. they're only press fit in there.
