Would an ignition box help my car I have upped the compression to about 11.5:1 so will the stock ignition be hot enough I already have a MSD Blaster coil and taylor 10.4mm wires with NGK TR55 plugs. I've been looking at the Mallory 685 but I've heard if you put a box on these cars it will eventually burn up the opti.

stay with stock it works fine unless you want timing retard adjustment offerd by some boxes for nitrous or fi.

yea I wasn't asking if it would up my compression lol. I have already upped my compression and was wondering if I needed a stronger ignition because of that. Is the mallory 685 better than the MSD 6A because the mallory is digital and the MSD is analog? Where is a good place to mount the box? I was thinking the glove box.

I bought an Accel box because I found one dirt cheap and I wanted a spark based rev limiter. I am running nearly as much compression and noticed no difference with it.
