Default Need help finding a Trans Am GT badge

My G fell off my 94 Trans Am GT. The dealer had no idea one existed and said it must be some kind of aftermarket thing. but I'm sure it was an option package from GM. but they don't have a history of every producing a GT badge.

But you can look the car up in the NADA guide. Anyone know where to get one? I tried the GT emblem from a Grand am and it was to small.

I know they did offer the GT for the 1994 T/A my best bud had one and i never saw a GT on the car, I think that was a aftermarket piece that was prob put on by the prev. owner.

the GT was more than likely something aftermarket. the Transam GT's didnt come with a "GT" badge just the standard "Transam" badge. the only reason your car is a GT is because it has the high rise spoiler which in that year was an option and not standard. so any t/a's in that year with a high rise spoiler were dubbed "GT"

if im not mistaken i think the GT package was a GM accessory package.
you might have the dealer look in the accessory catalogs or the GM performance parts catalog. Usually in the back they had kits that contained badges, and wheels to turn any firebird into a GT

pro382d listed a aftermarket option that was special order that started around 00 for the firebird not a trans am. The 94 trans am gt ONLY different in it has the HIGH RISE spoiler instead of the firebird and formula hatch in 94.

Bowtie Aaron dont be mad your 94 didnt have the 17" option anyway.

i just despise my 16" abs wheels..
i should have offered the previous owner a few more bucks for the Z06's that were on the car in the for sale ad...

yes goldmecham the gm part numbers i gave are out of the performance parts catalog. it appears to be a dealer installed type deal. I believe the gt emblem is the same as the factory sunfire gt emblem.

Wasn't the 'Firebird GT' cars with the GT badge, the "GTIII" or something? Either way, I was told by an owner of one that the ones with the body kits were all V6 models.

I've found a few instances of "GT" in the 93-02 GM parts catalog. It's part of the Y87 option described as: Y87 performance enhancement 3800 GT

This option is listed on '96 cars and newer. It consists of two front side emblems in the color of the car.

Looks like some package for the V6 engines, probably suspension and/or exhaust. Maybe rear discs for the V6?

Exactly what they say or look like, I don't know, I've never seen them.

If your '94 car had these emblems, they were put there by it's owner.

The GM part numbers for these emblems, in any color, are no longer available.
