Default a/c line in the way of strut tower bar - can I bend it?

Hiyah,
I was about to install my strut tower bar, but the A/C line is in the way. Actually, it is the AC sensor in the way. I was thinking of loosening the bolts holding the line and rotating the line so the sensor is moved to the other side. Has anyone ever bent the line or moved the sensor so they could get the bar in?

I bet pics will help so I will go take some.

::goes out and takes some pics::

Here:

My A/C is not super cold anyway so if I have to recharge it to move this oh darn. There is plenty of slack in the sensor wire to rotate it around.

I'd try and twist it as you said, before bending. But bending it won't hurt unless you kink it.

You should be able to move them just enough to get the strut brace in and tighten it down. This going on an LT1 ta? Pic isn't working sir.

It's for an LT1 TA. Guess I should have specified. Not sure why the pics aren't working, but I am a girl

I tried moving them without any kind of bending to get the brace in, but the sensor is RIGHT in the way. There s no way to get the brace in without bending. I even tried unplugging the sensor to see if maybe it would fit, and it won't go. So even if I got it in without the sensor plugged in, then I couldn't plug it in.

I assume if I loosen the bolts keeping this line from rotating so I can rotate the line, I am going to release all the freon.

just be careful when your bending it outta the way as stated before you dont kink it or even bend it at the connecting points. Then youll have to replace the o rings and stuff. Ask me how I know
Good luck.....girl.......

I've just bought a STB and had the same problem when I test fitted it. But I could manage to manipulate the tube and sensor enough to wiggle the bar under it.

Which one did you go with? I'm running the edelbrock, my sensor rests right on the mount. Your sensor seems to sit farther back than it does in my Camaro though.
