Car falls on face at start up.

Everytime I start my car when its cold, it starts real quick, and then almost stalls, then when you think it's going to cut out, she picks right up and idles fine. Switched out TPS and IAC with no change. Reset IAC with no change.

95 T/A A-4 converted to Ram Air.

Check your fuel pressure, sounds like a fuel pump on the way out.

Vehicle itself has 155,000. I've never replaced the fuel pump since my purchase of vehicle at 78,000. Replaced motor, trans and suspension 45,000 miles ago. This only happens when it's cold regardless of outside temp. I can let the car run for a minute, shut it off, and restart with no issues. It's as if the car takes a few seconds to realize what the idle speed should be when cold.

Can fuel preasure be checked with datamaster or do you have to check it with a gauge at the FPR? What should it read and while I'm asking ?,s, how does increasing the FP help your cars performance, and what would you want to increase it to. I have 30lb SVO injectors and would this change the A/F ratio requiring the tune to be readjusted?

You have to use a gauge.

from what i have read if you bump the fuel pressure the computer will see it a adjust it back, so it does not really work to mess with F/P on these cars.

try turning the key on and off a few times. this will prime the fuel pump a lot and build up fuel pressure. then quickly start the car after u primed it a few times. see what happens
