GF's 94 TA won't start...

GF's 94 TA won't start... She just called me from her cell and said her car won't start. All thats happening is security light is coming on when she turns the key. Won't turn over or anything.
There is an aftermarket alarm installed and ever since it seems it's had some funky elecrtical issues, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Any idea's? Just figured I'd ask in case this is a common problem or something...

turn the car off and wait the three minutes..something tripped the VATS ..most likely the key was dirty, the ignition cylinder is going or there is something up with the new alarm..it happened with my old v6 until i changed the cylinder
