automatic takes too long to shift

I own a 97 Camaro z28 no mods really just a shift kit and Hypertech programmer. The car takes too long to go from 2nd to 3rd I got the shift kit thinking it might fix it but it didnt then a got the Hypertech but cant get it to shift faster. what should i set the rmps and shift points too. Or could there be something else wrong with it? any input would help hate racing others n loosing cus my shift points are screwed up.

not being funny but have you changed the filter and lube and made sure the fluid was full..sometimes that can do it

Thats my thought - or the shift points coud be set wrong from the hypertech. If it is just the 2-3 shift you might want to get the transmission checked out.
