Default My car is running rough

My car has been running rough at idle and under a load (really only uphill). It still has all the power I think. The volts were reading in the yellow so I put a battery in it and had the alternator checked, which turned out to be ok. I couldn't see anything visual. I have had a plug wire get split before and this is almost the same feeling. Any suggestions?

Sounds like ignition.

Are you able to check the condition of the wires?

Have you ever burned one on your headers?

i think you would burn a valve before you burned your headers. did you look at your throttle body yet? and timing could be a problem, but you always want to check the easiest **** first

I said have you ever burned a wire ON the headers, like had a wire touching the headers. That's a common issue with headers.

I checked the wires. They all look like they were in tack. And yes I have had a wire burn before on the headers. This feels like the same thing, but like I said I didn't see anything wrong. I'll look again next weekend.

It does sound like ignition. Check the resistance of each wire. It's typically 5,000ohms for every foot. Make sure the ends of the wires aren't all corroded. Check the coil wire too.
