Default LT install

Friend of mine is getting some LT's for his 94 TA. He wants me to install them and he said he would help me. Now, I know that when I did mine it took me and another experience mechanic about 6-8 hours to do it.

How much do shops usually charge or how much do you think I should charge him to do it?

We are going to be doing it in my shop and using all my stuff.

High end shops charge about $450. You decide on the rest.

I've been quoted anywhere from $400-$600 for a header install. I'm going to install them myself though.

So, say for a trade, I have him order me an adjustable Panhard rod and a strut tower brace. Think that would be fair?

Also he would have to buy beer and pizza, because frankly, a LT install isn't a LT install without beer and pizza.

Dang, you think I'm an ******* for charging him around 200 bucks when I will most likely be doing the whole thing by myself.

No you wont..you don't know how to make him do it while you are "helping".

If I am helping someone, I am not goin to do it by myself with someone watching, I'll point out what need to be done, and I'll say loosen or tighten it. If someone wants your help and they want to know how to do it, what better way than hands on.

That's why I'm happy with Beer and Dinner..cause I more/less Supervised.
I do enough work on my car by myself, I'll teach someone how to do it in theirs..

I would do that but this guy has no experience with cars whatsoever. I would leave him alone and just supervise but it is going to be in my garage and we would need to get it done in one day.

I've already got LCA'a and I thought the PHR and the STB would be a fair trade since they equal to only around 200 bucks. That or I might have him buy me some stuff to finish my gear install.
